`ALL SUFFICIENCY
ALL SUFFICIENCY
God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that having sufficiency in all things, you may abound in every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8)
Sufficient for each conflict, sufficient for each cross,
This grace will compensate thee for every earthly loss,
No task that lies before you, no enemy you face,
But you will find the Master provides sufficient grace.
"Sufficiency in all things", He promises His own,
Whatever path you travel you need not go alone;
For this is His own promise in every time and place,
In all life's circumstances an all-sufficient grace.
What if all friends should leave you, what if all things conspire
To multiply against you, and frustrate your desire;
What if some thorn beset you from which you fain were free,
His strength in weakness perfect enough will always be.
No need to dread the future nor what awaits you there;
God never gives a burden but grace with it to bear,
And this is His own promise for every time and place,
In all life's circumstances an all-sufficient grace.
No flame can kindle on thee, no waters ever drown,
With Him the strong and mighty you gain the Victor's crown.
No load can be too heavy if He that load doth share;
His grace is all sufficient to carry every care.
And when your strength is failing, and life is ebbing fast,
He surely will not fail you, nor leave you at the last;
For this is His own promise, whatever you have to face,

`THE COMMANDED PATH
THE COMMANDED PATH
Down the path of life I walk
As myself and Jesus talk
Until I come down to the end
And turn around the crooked bend
But as I stare down at the ground
There comes two paths
with no way around
Right then I hear his words softly spoken
My senseless self I cannot be
"Follow me and You'll be free"
When He heard my desperate plea
His spirit rose up inside of me
For He's the one that lights my path
And keeps me from the enemy's wrath
I knew right then that I should make
The decision of which path to take
And as I listen through the air
I hear him say "Follow me, I care"
And that command I do not question
I simply take His kind suggestion
I look right past the optional rebellion
And take the path through Him I've chosen
The choice I made kept me from dreading

`MY LIGHT AT DAWN
MY LIGHT AT DAWN
In the early morning hours
Before the break of dawn
I spend this time of piece and quiet
Just God and me alone.
The beauty of His creation
The stars and moon still bright
Only He, my Lord and Savior
Could have painted such a sight.
I take this time to pray to Him
And praise His glorious name
And if by chance I miss this time
My day's just not the same.
And as I live my daily life
He's always in my heart
He gives me strength to carry on
If my own world falls apart.
He helps me when I'm down and weak
And despair is all I see
He reaches out and draws me back
His arms encircle me.
The joy and peace that He can give
Is just within your grasp
Invite Him into your heart today
You simply have to ask.
So if your life seems empty
And your days aren't clear and bright
Make some time to spend with Him

DESERT TIMES
There are times in our lives
The Lord may lead us through
A lifeless, barren desert
A time of testing too
But desert times can be
A place of special growth
Where God can do a work
And let His healing flow
I know that in these times
We don't feel God is there
We feel so very distant
And lost without His care
But God is there beside you
To bring you to a place
Of cool refreshing waters
Flowing with His grace
But for the present moment
You maybe in a drought
Don't give up on your faith
And don't you start to doubt
God is always faithful
And He will walk with you
Through the darkest moments

`AGE, WISDOM, AND FAITH
AGE, WISDOM, AND FAITH "Age is an issue of mind over matter," or so the saying goes.
"If you don't mind, it doesn't matter," for it's wisdom in you that grows. And the wisdom found in the word of God, is to what we should all aspire.
And the older we get, the wiser we get, if surrendered to God's desire. All of the tears through all of the years, from the betrayal, pain, and rejection
Just doesn't compare to all of God's care, working out in me His perfection. Just like the clay, first molded by hands, placed into the oven and fired.
Firming the vessel, to the form desired, to be filled for whatever's required. So when the trials of life start taking their toll, and you feel you've lost God's protection.
Just look through the cross, until three days later, at the glorious resurrection. So whatever your age, and whatever your part, upon the stage of life.
Count it all joy, and think it not strange, in all your struggle and strife. For the wisdom of faith promises us a safe and victorious landing.
As we trust in the Lord with all of our heart, and lean not to our own understanding. God's wisdom for us is mere faith in Him, for the Bible makes this quite clear.
And through each trial, our faith should grow, year after year after year. Thus, age is an issue of trust over trial, progressing as we grow.

JESUS CAME TO ME Just about a year ago
Jesus came to me
He must have seen my aching heart
Or heard my mournful plea He led me to the alter
He put me on my knees
He listened as I begged him
Dear God forgive me, Please He's there in every crisis
He leads me every day
He's teaching me compassion

`WAIT
WAIT Desperately, helplessly, longingly I cried;
Quietly, patiently lovingly God replied.
I plead and I wept for a clue to fate,
And the Master so gently, said, "Child you must wait." Wait? You say, "wait," my indignant reply,
Lord I need answers, I need to know why!
Is your hand shortened? Or have you not heard?
By faith, I have asked, and am claiming your Word. My future and all to which I can relate,
Hangs in the balance, and you tell me to WAIT?
I'm needing a "yes," a go-ahead sign,
Or even a "no," to which I can resign. And Lord, you promised that if we believe,
We need but to ask, and we shall receive.
And Lord, I've been asking, and this is my cry,
I'm weary of asking, I need a reply! Then quietly, softly, I learned of my fate;
As my Master replied, once again, "You must wait."
So, I slumped in my chair, defeated and taut
And grumbled to God, "so I'm waiting... for what?" He seemed then to kneel, and His eyes wept with mine,
And He tenderly said, "I could give you a sign."
I could shake the heavens and darken the sun,
I could raise the dead, and cause the mountains to run. All you seek I could give, and pleased you would be.
You would have what you want, but you would not know Me.
You'd not know the depth of My love for each saint.
You'd not know the power that I give to the faint. You'd not learn to see through the clouds of despair,
You'd not learn to trust by knowing I'm there.
You'd not know the joy of resting in Me,
When darkness and silence were all you could see.
You'd never experience that fullness of love,
As the peace of My Spirit descends like a dove. You'd know what I give and I save... (for a start),
But you'd not know the depth of the beat of My heart.
The glow of My comfort late into the night,
The faith that I give when you walk without sight. The depth that's beyond getting just what you asked,
Of an infinite God, who makes what you have last.
You'd never know, should your pain quickly flee,
What it means that "My grace is sufficient for thee." Yes, your dreams for your loved ones overnight would come true,
But, oh the loss if I lost what I'm doing in you!
So, be silent, My child, and in time you will see,
That the greatest of gifts is to get to know Me.
And though oft' My answers seem terribly late,

I said a prayer for you my friend,

That you would feel God’s peace with you,
As you trust Him each day through.

That He’d pour blessings down on you,
And make your grey skies turn to blue.

And that He’d answer your request.

Follow ME
I used to walk down a sinful road
a road that led to heartache and woe.
My worldly views were what I had
no peace of mind could I find.
Then one day I cried in despair
and that's when the Master called unto me.
Come my child and look up to Me
I want to cleanse you and set you free.
For I died on a tree so you could be free
and now you can see what Heaven will be.
So reach out and trust Me and together we'll find
a new life, a new road, and a new home with Thee.
For the freedom of Heaven is joyful with Me
so don't hesitate today to come unto Thee.
The road may be narrow but what you will find
is peace, love, and joy that is truly sublime.
Then you will see how lovely Heaven will be
when you take up your cross and follow Me.

If a friend asks you for something, give it to them!

THE COST
What does it cost to sacrifice?
The Price is high indeed
To be the servant of “The Most High God”
Does not come easily
There is hurt involved, as well as joy
Don’t expect an easy road
It wasn’t easy for our Lord
When on this earth he abode
To serve the Lord, means to serve mankind
To help in a Christian way
That one who is poor or destitute
Lets go, Lets give, Lets pray
Your good they may not appreciate
But that’s neither here, nor there
This is the norm for the Christian life
Be unconcerned about what is fair
It was unfair to our precious Lord
To nail him to the tree
Yet, he gave his life, he sacrificed
To save both you and me

`WINDS OF CHANGE
WINDS OF CHANGE
The path you're on is free from grief, free from evil lies,
but when you least expect it, comes the one we all despise.
He'll throw you down, and twist your mind,
bend your thoughts, and give false sign.
You'll rebuke the Lord, and give into sin,
shut your ears, seek to please men.
But when all your efforts are in vain, and just before you fall,
you'll hear a voice call out to you, for He cares about us all.
"What have you done with your precious life, that I bought with so much pain,
I came to earth to buy your life, and you repay Me with disdain.
My little child do you not see, of all My love for you?
So why then do you live this way, for it's evil this is true.
The tears I shed for you are real, the pain I feel inside,
come back to Me my child, and in Me you can hide.
The winds of change are here at last, so just put your faith in Me,
I never will forsake you, and forever this will be."
Even through closed ears you hear, it all starts coming back,
you remember how you used to be, and you begin to get back on track.
Satan's hold loses its grasp, the Lord severs the chains,
you are brought out of bondage, and there you will remain.
May you never forget what is born of faith, and all His love for you,
for every word He spoke is good, and every word so true.
The waves and clouds begin to fade, the smile returning to your face,
you thank the Lord for everything, for returning you to that place.
The fires that consumed your heart and mind, and tormented you in dreams,
are nothing more than memories, are not how they once seemed.
And from all this pain and all these lies, what then was to gain?
Learning apart from Him you're nothing, and you are not to be the same.
These trials that come into you life, bring you closer to His will,
and may you be with him forever, where the minute hand stands still.
So next time a test is brought your way, and life seems to have run its course,
Welcome it with open arms, because in God there's no remorse.

`DARKNESS IS BEHIND ME
DARKNESS IS BEHIND ME
I was a desperate junkie in a foreign land,
Before I was comforted by His hand.
Alone and scared in this evil place,
I turned to a man of a different race.
He was recommended to me by a good friend,
"Satisfy Him and your quest for drugs will end."
My friend was right; He fulfilled all that I craved,
But there was always a price for what He gave.
He gently told me to drop to my knees,
Then whispered "close your eyes; prepare to receive."
"My God help me," I screamed up at the sky,
But with the darkness behind me I began to cry.
Sobbing into the pillow, I felt so ashamed,
That this dark passage into me had become so inflamed.
Just like that the pain disappeared,
I was left feeling content but a little bit weird.
"See that wasn’t so bad," He said to me,
"If your need for drugs returns, same place, same fee!"

`WAIT
WAIT Desperately, helplessly, longingly I cried;
Quietly, patiently lovingly God replied.
I plead and I wept for a clue to fate,
And the Master so gently, said, "Child you must wait." Wait? You say, "wait," my indignant reply,
Lord I need answers, I need to know why!
Is your hand shortened? Or have you not heard?
By faith, I have asked, and am claiming your Word. My future and all to which I can relate,
Hangs in the balance, and you tell me to WAIT?
I'm needing a "yes," a go-ahead sign,
Or even a "no," to which I can resign. And Lord, you promised that if we believe,
We need but to ask, and we shall receive.
And Lord, I've been asking, and this is my cry,
I'm weary of asking, I need a reply! Then quietly, softly, I learned of my fate;
As my Master replied, once again, "You must wait."
So, I slumped in my chair, defeated and taut
And grumbled to God, "so I'm waiting... for what?" He seemed then to kneel, and His eyes wept with mine,
And He tenderly said, "I could give you a sign."
I could shake the heavens and darken the sun,
I could raise the dead, and cause the mountains to run. All you seek I could give, and pleased you would be.
You would have what you want, but you would not know Me.
You'd not know the depth of My love for each saint.
You'd not know the power that I give to the faint. You'd not learn to see through the clouds of despair,
You'd not learn to trust by knowing I'm there.
You'd not know the joy of resting in Me,
When darkness and silence were all you could see.
You'd never experience that fullness of love,
As the peace of My Spirit descends like a dove. You'd know what I give and I save... (for a start),
But you'd not know the depth of the beat of My heart.
The glow of My comfort late into the night,
The faith that I give when you walk without sight. The depth that's beyond getting just what you asked,
Of an infinite God, who makes what you have last.
You'd never know, should your pain quickly flee,
What it means that "My grace is sufficient for thee." Yes, your dreams for your loved ones overnight would come true,
But, oh the loss if I lost what I'm doing in you!
So, be silent, My child, and in time you will see,
That the greatest of gifts is to get to know Me.
And though oft' My answers seem terribly late,

I SAID A PRAYER
I said a prayer for you my friend,
That your struggles would soon end.
That you would feel God’s peace with you,
As you trust Him each day through.
I prayed that you would feel His love,
Rain down on you from up above.
I asked Him to take care of you,
Fill you with joy and laughter too.
I prayed that He would let you know,
That He will never let you go.
That He’d pour blessings down on you,
And make your grey skies turn to blue.
I prayed that God would give you rest,
And that He’d answer your request.
I asked the Lord to touch your soul,
Fill you with hope and make you whole.
My friend I prayed that you would feel,
His gentle touch reach down and heal.
I said a prayer for you my friend,

Follow ME
I used to walk down a sinful road
a road that led to heartache and woe.
My worldly views were what I had
no peace of mind could I find.
Then one day I cried in despair
and that's when the Master called unto me.
Come my child and look up to Me
I want to cleanse you and set you free.
For I died on a tree so you could be free
and now you can see what Heaven will be.
So reach out and trust Me and together we'll find
a new life, a new road, and a new home with Thee.
For the freedom of Heaven is joyful with Me
so don't hesitate today to come unto Thee.
The road may be narrow but what you will find
is peace, love, and joy that is truly sublime.
Then you will see how lovely Heaven will be
when you take up your cross and follow Me.

I wonder if you think about Me,
If you would still do things the same.
I wonder what I did wrong.
Why it was I you blame.
Maybe you didn’t know,
Maybe you didn’t believe,
My heart was beating within you,
And I wasn’t ready to leave.
I was too small for you to see Me,
Too small for you to feel,
But I was cuddled inside your womb,
Full of Life, and Real.
I wish you could have waited,
Just a month or two
Then maybe you would’ve seen,
That my Lord would’ve carried you.
He only wanted to give you a Gift,
A Gift of Life, which was Me,

I ask the Lord why I was not wanted,

If they take away your shirt, hand to them your jacket!
If someone forces you to go with them a mile,
Go with them two!
If a friend asks you for something, give it to them!

THE COST
What does it cost to sacrifice?
The Price is high indeed
To be the servant of “The Most High God”
Does not come easily
There is hurt involved, as well as joy
Don’t expect an easy road
It wasn’t easy for our Lord
When on this earth he abode
To serve the Lord, means to serve mankind
To help in a Christian way
That one who is poor or destitute
Lets go, Lets give, Lets pray
Your good they may not appreciate
But that’s neither here, nor there
This is the norm for the Christian life
Be unconcerned about what is fair
It was unfair to our precious Lord
To nail him to the tree
Yet, he gave his life, he sacrificed
To save both you and me

`WINDS OF CHANGE
WINDS OF CHANGE
The path you're on is free from grief, free from evil lies,
but when you least expect it, comes the one we all despise.
He'll throw you down, and twist your mind,
bend your thoughts, and give false sign.
You'll rebuke the Lord, and give into sin,
shut your ears, seek to please men.
But when all your efforts are in vain, and just before you fall,
you'll hear a voice call out to you, for He cares about us all.
"What have you done with your precious life, that I bought with so much pain,
I came to earth to buy your life, and you repay Me with disdain.
My little child do you not see, of all My love for you?
So why then do you live this way, for it's evil this is true.
The tears I shed for you are real, the pain I feel inside,
come back to Me my child, and in Me you can hide.
The winds of change are here at last, so just put your faith in Me,
I never will forsake you, and forever this will be."
Even through closed ears you hear, it all starts coming back,
you remember how you used to be, and you begin to get back on track.
Satan's hold loses its grasp, the Lord severs the chains,
you are brought out of bondage, and there you will remain.
May you never forget what is born of faith, and all His love for you,
for every word He spoke is good, and every word so true.
The waves and clouds begin to fade, the smile returning to your face,
you thank the Lord for everything, for returning you to that place.
The fires that consumed your heart and mind, and tormented you in dreams,
are nothing more than memories, are not how they once seemed.
And from all this pain and all these lies, what then was to gain?
Learning apart from Him you're nothing, and you are not to be the same.
These trials that come into you life, bring you closer to His will,
and may you be with him forever, where the minute hand stands still.
So next time a test is brought your way, and life seems to have run its course,
Welcome it with open arms, because in God there's no remorse.

`DARKNESS IS BEHIND ME
DARKNESS IS BEHIND ME
I was a desperate junkie in a foreign land,
Before I was comforted by His hand.
Alone and scared in this evil place,
I turned to a man of a different race.
He was recommended to me by a good friend,
"Satisfy Him and your quest for drugs will end."
My friend was right; He fulfilled all that I craved,
But there was always a price for what He gave.
He gently told me to drop to my knees,
Then whispered "close your eyes; prepare to receive."
"My God help me," I screamed up at the sky,
But with the darkness behind me I began to cry.
Sobbing into the pillow, I felt so ashamed,
That this dark passage into me had become so inflamed.
Just like that the pain disappeared,
I was left feeling content but a little bit weird.
"See that wasn’t so bad," He said to me,
"If your need for drugs returns, same place, same fee!"
