`TRUST IN GOD TRUST IN GOD Did you have tears, today, to flow? Was someone with you...to wipe them away? Just remember! Jesus wept too..and we know, There was pain in His Heart...that day. In this life....we all have sorrow.... Be strong and of good courage; God says, I trust for you....a bright tomorrow, So...when the tears are gone..give Him Praise! Do not give up...what-ever you do.... But hold on....to the Lord's Hand... He will carry you on through.. He will help you to be able to stand. Trust in God...each moment of the day, He will be with you..He sees your tears, Healing...I Pray...will soon come your way, Trust in Him...Obey...cast off all fears. Reach out to God; He will comfort you, Strength and Peace...will be given, Remain close to Him...be Faithful and true, Prepare your life...to meet Him in Heaven. `THE POWER OF PRAYER THE POWER OF PRAYER Do you ever have those kind of days, When nothing turns out right? Where you feel like your walking in total darkness, And you wish so for the light? Where every single step you take, Feels like your walking uphill? And just continuing with your life, Takes every ounce of will? Does it sometimes seem your hopes and dreams, Will never come to be? And when you stop to look around you, Pain is all you see? Do you ever feel like giving up? Ragged, used or worn? Have you ever hurt so much, That you wished you were never born? Don’t feel so alone for we all have those days, And there is someone who cares, You can always reach His listening ear, With a simple word of prayer. The power of prayer is very great, It's stronger than sin, lust or hate. It can shake the roots of sin itself, Until it falls apart, It can humble even the strongest soul, And can soften the hardest heart. It brings hope to those who have no hope, And to those who are oppressed, It brings comfort to those who are in pain, And to those who are distressed. So when you feel your days been long, Or you weep for some small loss, Remember the agony that Jesus felt, As He suffered on the cross. Remember the crown of thorns on his head, Remember the spear thrust in His side, Remember the nails in His hands and feet, Remember.................for you He suffered and died. Take a long hard look at all your problems, And those Jesus had to bare, You'll find your little problems, Are nothing to compare, So when you feel downtrodden, And you need someone who cares, Just bow your head, close your eyes, And experience the power of prayer. `GOD'S GRACE GOD'S GRACE I did not know His love before, I thought I knew His love for me, The ship that I had built myself His loving arms enveloped me, Yet through the pain and endless tears, My faith began to grow. I could not see it at the time, But my light began to glow. I saw God's love in a brand new light, His grace and mercy, too. For only when all self was gone Could Jesus' love shine through.

Remember your Father, Succumb to His embrace, Yield your surrender, To His healing and grace. When your heart is crying, And your soul disheartened, Forlornly hoping, And needing to be gladdened. Cry out to your Father, Rest in His compassion, Seek the great Comforter, Lean on His affection. When the joy of your salvation, Is stripped from your heart, In abandoned desolation, When your soul is torn apart. `BLESSED STORMS BLESSED STORMS During stormy weather Clouds seem to lose their glow; Gathering together They darken Earth below. The leaden sky explodes; Rain pelts the ground with force Threatening to erode The soil without remorse. Clouds rumble, roil and moan; Lights split the sky in two; Earth's creatures hide and groan Birds bid the air adieu. Though dark clouds hide the sun; Though they are glum and gray - Without them we're undone For they send life our way. They're smiled on by the Son He formed; sent each of them; A blessing every one; A mystery to men. Bringing much needed rain Enabling life to grow; Though storms can cause much pain We need their blessed flow. When storm clouds gather close And life seems dark and bleak; When foes attack; oppose Leaving us battered; weak. O God of the Universe, you felt not just one person's pain but the pain of all of us, to wash us clean and bond with us, your creation, your children. O God of the Universe, you proved your trancendent holy power by rising from the dead, a sign that all of us who believe in You will also rise to be with You eternally. `God in the Seasons In Spring we are reminded of the magnificence of Your creation, as the earth is covered in verdant green, with splendid splashes of color, and we witness birth everywhere, of animals bearing their young, of buds turning into leaves and flowers and our own moods being reborn with renewed energy and life. in Summer, we remember the warmth of Your love for us and the light of Your goodness. Both are everywhere for those who look. Thank You for butterflies, birds and wildlife for us to enjoy, water to swim in, and weather that frees us to romp and play while outdoor pleasures are at their peak. In Fall, we thank you for Your cooling breezes, that bring relief from the relentless summer heat. We see bright colors fading and dying, leaves turning brown, crisp, disintegrating, only to be reborn next year, reminding us that every living thing, including us, must die in some way before being reborn. In Winter, as white snow blankets the ground, we are reminded of Your purity and Your perfection. The complexity and beauty of each single snowflake only hints at Your transcendent intelligence and creativity. We hunker down and snuggle in, knowing this season will wind down and Spring will reappear, as it always has because You created an orderly, predictable universe, not by chance, but from your flawless design. and everything in them that You created for our enjoyment. `NO MORE GAMES NO MORE GAMES How many times have I said the sinner’s prayer? How many times, did I go back in despair? Back to the fig tree, to hide from my shame, When I couldn't live up to God's holy name. He loves me, he loves me not, a cruel game to be sure. It's a favorite of the enemy for your soul to procure I played it unwillingly as days turned to years. Does he love me, or love me not, was a constant fear. But gently he drew me, with patience and love, He brought home to my heart; I was born from above. I found death couldn't hold me, at the place I was in, For a king paid a ransom, 'What a price for my sin.' `Good Friday  Good Friday Is it not strange, the darkest hour That ever dawned on sinful earth Should touch the heart with softer power For comfort than an angel's mirth? That to the Cross the mourner's eye should turn Sooner than where the stars of Christmas burn? Sooner than where the Easter sun Shines glorious on yon open grave, And to and fro the tidings run, "Who died to heal, is risen to save?" Sooner than where upon the Saviour's friends The very Comforter in light and love descends? Yet so it is: for duly there The bitter herbs of earth are set, Till tempered by the Saviour's prayer, And with the Saviour's life-blood wet, They turn to sweetness, and drop holy balm, Soft as imprisoned martyr's deathbed calm. All turn to sweet--but most of all That bitterest to the lip of pride, When hopes presumptuous fade and fall, Or Friendship scorns us, duly tried, Or Love, the flower that closes up for fear When rude and selfish spirits breathe too near. Then like a long-forgotten strain Comes sweeping o'er the heart forlorn What sunshine hours had taught in vain Of JESUS suffering shame and scorn, As in all lowly hearts he suffers still, While we triumphant ride and have the world at will. His pierced hands in vain would hide His face from rude reproachful gaze, His ears are open to abide The wildest storm the tongue can raise, He who with one rough word, some early day, Their idol world and them shall sweep for aye away. But we by Fancy may assuage The festering sore by Fancy made, Down in some lonely hermitage Like wounded pilgrims safely laid, Where gentlest breezes whisper souls distressed, That Love yet lives, and Patience shall find rest. O! shame beyond the bitterest thought That evil spirit ever framed, That sinners know what Jesus wrought, Yet feel their haughty hearts untamed - That souls in refuge, holding by the Cross, Should wince and fret at this world's little loss. Lord of my heart, by Thy last cry, Let not Thy blood on earth be spent - Lo, at Thy feet I fainting lie, Mine eyes upon Thy wounds are bent, Upon Thy streaming wounds my weary eyes Wait like the parched earth on April skies. Wash me, and dry these bitter tears, O let my heart no further roam, 'Tis Thine by vows, and hopes, and fears. I give to You As an act of my worship, Life's little foxes That spoil the vine Crafty and sly As they devour my time. I give to You As an act of my worship, Things I hold on to That I know I should skirt. Not profitable to me, They are all to my hurt. I give to You As an act of my worship, The longing in my heart For the harmony that You intend, A total redemption Of a heart that did bend. `ALL I NEED TO KNOW ALL I NEED TO KNOW From Egypt, through the red sea, And on into the wilderness, From the crossing of Jordan, To the promise land fullness. Lord where am I From your point of view? I don't trust my heart To answer me true. I know I've been longer In the wilderness than planned. Many lessons I learned, Brought about by your hand. Hungry and thirsty, In a dry and empty place, Taught my heart to cling To my Savior's grace. Many dark hours I thought spent in vain Brought light unexpected As I buried my grain. I really don't know Exactly where I am, But I know I left Egypt By the blood of the lamb. |
