`JESUS THE SAVIOR JESUS THE SAVIOR Jesus was born one day many many years ago And though it was so long ago his light is still aglow He grew up as a boy and then he was a man And did many miracles that only the Son of God can He carried his cross to Calvary to suffer and die and bleed So that everyone who believes on him would be with him indeed He went back to his place in heaven from which he came And loves every person ever born, man, woman, and child the same If you want to go to the place he has prepared for all who believe Just ask him to be your Savior and your sin you'll try to leave He will come into you heart and forgive you of all your sin All that he asks is a place in your heart for him to enter in If you ask him into your heart, he'll never lead you astray He'll be in your heart forever and be there forever to stay You will be God's child forever and always have a friend He will love you no matter what and be with you to the end You'll have a reservation in heaven that can be never taken away His salvation is a free gift, you can never earn it in any way Though the world is full of trouble on every side and war When he calls us home to heaven, we'll be safe forevermore  |
